Do you run a fast food outlet or restaurant offering deliveries and are fed up paying a large chunk of your profits over to third party delivery sites?
You are not alone, over 80% of food outlets polled stated that they felt the fees charged by these aggregator sites were far too high.
Like it or not though the improved choice and ease of ordering have changed buying behaviours and now more than 50% of your potential customers are using these sites rather than coming direct to you.
This has left many takeaway owners feeling that they have no choice but to advertise on these portals.
The result? higher prices for the customers and in some extreme cases businesses have been forced to close due to reduced profit margins.
There is unfortunately no way to turn back the clock and reject these disruptive giants from taking over, the public are used to having multiple choices in one place which allows them to order with no human interaction.
We are currently developing an alternative, non-profit food ordering portal which will be run by our members for our members.
This will offer the same buying experience for the public but no sign up fee and a fixed, low rate per delivery saving around 60-70% for the business.
The main challenge we face is moving the customers from the established players onto the new site.
We will never be able to compete with the advertising budgets of the big players but by working together we should be able to win some of that traffic which would result in significant savings.
To begin with we are trialling the scheme in the regions below.
If you operate an outlet in any of these areas, please register your interest in the scheme by completing the contact form and one of the team will be in touch.
